UPDATE On Fermoy Bus Crash - Trapped children safely removed from overturned bus
Injured school children taken to hospital with minor injuries
A number of children who were trapped when their school bus overturned on the outskirts of Fermoy are being treated in hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The single decker bus crashed in a rural area at Cregg South on the Ballyhooley to Fermoy road shortly after 8 o'clock this morning - with up to 45 school children on board. It's understood the pupils are all secondary school students..
The cause of the crash is under investigation but at this stage it's believed the poor weather conditions may have played a factor in the crash..
