Two people have been injured in a serious collision on the N71 Bandon to Clonakilty Road.

A truck and car collided approximately half a kilometre on the Bandon side of Peddlars Cross earlier this evening.

The road is closed off between Peddlers Cross and Hosford's Garden Centre with diversions in place on the Bandon side down by Whitegates.
