Urgent recruitment drive by Irish Blood Transfusion Service

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service is urgently trying to recruit new blood donors due to a fall in the number of people coming forward to donate blood.
Globally there's been a 30% drop in new blood donors with similar decreases being recorded in Ireland
In an effort to boost awareness of the service and recruit donors the IBTS is taking part in a Global initiative called The Missing Type,..
It's hoped that the campaign, which is being supported by Cork's RedFM, will lead to the recruitment of an additional 8,000 new donors before the end of the year.
Speaking to RedFM News IBTS Donor Recruitment Manager Cork based Anne O'Donovan Says they are working hard to attract new donors:
You can donate blood today and tomorrow at Cobh GAA Hall from 5.00 - 8.30 pm.
