Users of Epi-pens advised to check lot numbers due to recall
People who rely on 'Epi-Pens' in the event of severe allergic reactions - are being advised to check the lot number.
A batch has been recalled due to a defect with their injector.
The affected pens are 300 microgramme pre-filled pens, with an expiry date of May 2017 and lot number 5FA665G.
The Health Products Regulatory Authority is asking users to check the details on their devices and return them to their pharmacy if necessary, for a free replacement.
