Varadkar to face questions in Dáil on IMO Agreement leak
The former heads of the National Association of General Practitioners says it was wrong for one group of GPs to have a copy of a contract agreement - but not another.
GP Maitiu O Tuathail and Dr Andrew Jordan say they got a finalised copy from the then-Taoiseach to keep all general practitioners informed.
Leo Varadkar has admitted to sharing a version of the Irish Medical Organisation's agreement - but says it wasn't unlawful.
The Tánaiste will face questions in the Dáil on the issue tomorrow.
Social Democrats co-leader Catherine Murphy says his explanation so far hasn't been good enough.
"It could not have been provided to them without the agreement of the IMO, who were the other party to this agreement.
"Essentially it was a confidential document. I think language is important, and to say it wasn't best practice is really very tame language and it wouldn't be how I would read it - it simply shouldn't have happened."
