Venues Across City Throw Open Doors For Culture Night
Cork City Council say they expect over 50,000 visits will be recorded in just 5 hours - at various events across the city this evening.
This year 113 venues will open their doors to the public as part of Culture night with over 10,000 expected to avail of the opportunity to attend events and exhibitions which are all free of charge.
The family friendly event is part of a nationwide culture evening to encourage residents Leeside to avail of free music, theatre, cinema and arts & crafts events.
Collins' Barracks, Blackpool Community Centre, Cork School of Music and the Cork Butter Exchange are among the venues that will remain open until 11pm.
Speaking to RedFM News Culture Night Organiser Trish Murphy says it is a perfect opportunity for the public to explore the city:
