Vera Twomey to march again this weekend in her campaign for legalised medicinal cannabis

A Cork mother who is campaigning for the legalisation of medicinal cannabis is to take to the streets again this weekend.

Vera Twomey is to march through Cork city on Saturday on behalf of her 7 year old daughter Ava who suffers from a rare form of epilepsy and has multiple seizures each day.

Vera has spoken directly to the Health Minister on several occasions and marched on the Dail last month after her application for medicinal cannabis was rejected on the grounds that a paediatric neurologist hadn't signed off on it.

She is now urging people to join her on her march on Saturday which leaves the Grand Parade at 2pm.
