Vera Twomey to meet with paediatric neurologist today

It's hoped a paediatric neurologist will sign off on her application for medicinal cannabis for her daughter Ava who suffers from a rare form of epilepsy
The Chief Medical Officer with the Department of Health says if the circumstance are right there should be no road blocks to medicinal cannabis.
The comments come as Cork mother Vera Twomey is due to meet with her daughter Ava's paediatric neurologist today in a bid to progress her application for medicinal cannabis for Ava who suffers from a rare form of epilepsy.
However the Aghabulloge woman has expressed fears that the meeting will not go well as she hasn't received documentation from the HSE to assist her in the meeting despite a guarantee from the Health Minister that she would have it.
Dr Tony Holohan says there's no reason that cannabis shouldn't be available to every patient.
