A Cork woman campaigning for medicinal cannabis is to mount another protest outside the Dáil tonight.
Vera Twomey says she's been forced to stage yet another demonstration, after her recent 290km walk to the Dáil, because she was snubbed by the Health Minister.
The Aghabullogue woman has been calling for legislation for medicinal cannabis for her seven-year-old daughter Ava who suffers from a rare form of epilepsy and needs the drug to help alleviate her seizures.
The family have reached a stumbling block at the moment as they cannot get a paediatric neurologist to sign off on their application for an exemption for the CBD cannabis oil.
A number of buses from Cork are travelling to Dublin to take part in the protest.
Speaking to RedFM News Vera says Minister Simon Harris has left them with no choice but to protest again:
