Verdict due in trial of former Cork Lord mayor today
A verdict is expected today in the trial of a former Cork Lord Mayor accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl. 83-year old John Murray of Gregg Road has pleaded not guilty to six charges. The jury was sent home yesterday evening after deliberating for two hours. The judge will answer a series of questions they put to him yesterday evening when the case resumes at Cork Circuit Criminal Court later this morning.
