The team are looking for support to travel to Kentucky to the Vex Robotics World Championships
The VEX Robotics Team From Kinsale Community School are heading Stateside next month to represent Ireland at the world championships after their project scooped an excellence award at the competition held at CIT
The Transition Year robot team, made up of 26 students, took part in the Vex Robotics Final in CIT which enables students to learn about STEM subjects through designing, building, programming and competing with their robot in competitions organised by DELL EMC.
The group won the tournament, scooped the coding skills and driving skills award and ultimately the excellence award which secures a place for them in the world championships in Kentucky next month
Eight 16 year old students, who only began learning how to design robots 6 months ago, at Kinsale Community School are to travel to Kentucky, to compete against robots from countries across the globe.
It's a huge undertaking and the group are looking for funding and can be supported through their go fund me page at https://www.gofundme.com/kcs-robotics-world-competition-fund
