Vigils To Highlight Health Care Crisis To Take Place Today

Vigils will take place around the country today to highlight the Irish health care crisis.

The 'Still Waiting Campaign' is organising gatherings at a number of hospitals including Cork, Galway and Dublin.

Yesterday it emerged that the Emergency Department at Cork University Hospital, was the most overcrowded in the country for the month of March.

716 patients were treated on trolleys last month, the highest it has been in the past 10 years.

The group says over 350 people needlessly die on waiting lists every year.
