VMWare announces restructuring plans
It's not known at this stage if it will negatively impact on the firms' Ballincollig base.
VMWare which has a base in Ballincollig has announced restructuring plans for this year.
In a statement the company confirmed that they are restructuring and realigning approximately 800 roles over the course of the first half of this year
VMware says it will reinvest the associated savings in field, technical and support resources focused on their growth products.
It's not known at this stage if this will have a negative impact on the firms' Ballincollig base and despite requests a company spokesperson was unavailable for comment.
Last year VMWare announced plans to grow its Ballincollig based staff by over 300 in the coming years as it took over a new building in the town.
The tech company is one of Cork's biggest employers and last year celebrated its 10th year in Ballincollig.
