Warning issued over potential seasonal theft in Cork
Gardaí are issuing the warning ahead of the summer months.
People are being warned about the potential of seasonal theft Leeside in the coming months.
Gardaí are appealing to boat owners to ensure their property is secured and they say anyone storing gardening equipment or anything with a high resale value should be extra vigilant.
Provisional figures so far this year in the Cork West division indicate that there's been a 20% reduction in property crime and an almost 50% reduction in burglaries.
AUDIO: However speaking to RedFM News crime prevention officer in the Cork West Garda division Sgt Ian O'Callaghan says people can't afford to be complacent.
