Water disrupted on the Old Mallow Road

Cork City Council is advising home and business owners that due to a broken water main on the Old Mallow Road and surrouding areas the water supply will be distruputed this afternoon until 6pm approx. The Council says every effort is being made to keep the disruption to a minimum. Some slight discoloration to the water supply may occur when the water is restored. However this discoloration is harmless and will clear in a short time. Please check the clarity of the water before operating washing machines to prevent possible staining of washing and also before using dishwashers and drinks vending machines etc. It is important to keep taps fully closed to stop any flooding when the water comes back on.
