Safety chiefs are continuing to warn the people of Cork to be vigilant in and on the water.
A new moon on Tuesday will bring spring tides over the Bank Holiday Weekend, and a few nasty surprises.
The Irish Coast Guard and the RNLI have launched joint safety campaigns saying they rescue a lot of people who never expected to end up in the water when they left home.
Call outs can range from the tide cutting people off, to slips or falls while walking near the coastline
Irish Water Safety Chief Executive Officer, John Leach, is highlighting the importance of wearing life-jackets at sea, and being aware of the dangers around you, whenever you are near water.
