Waterloo Junction To Remain Closed Until November 30th
The Waterloo junction is to remain closed until November 30th.
The junction on the N20 Cork to Limerick road has been closed for improvement works since June following a number of serious and fatal collisions at the turn off.
Cork County Council say the extended temporary closure is in the interests of public safety and have stated that closing the junction fully is an option.
Locals in Waterloo and Whitechurch are strongly opposed to the idea and say the closure would split their community in two.
