Weather hampers search for missing man in Cork

The alarm was raised shortly after 10 o'clock last night.

A river search is expected to resume tomorrow for a man believed to be in his 50s who reportedly entered the River Lee near the Anglers Rest.

The alarm was raised shortly after 10 o'clock last night and a search operation involving Mallow Search and Rescue, Crosshaven Coastguard, Cork City Fire Brigade and members of Ballincollig Gardaí swung into action.

Gardaí say they're reviewing and monitoring the situation and have been checking CCTV footage from the area but no further details are available at this stage.
