Woman mauled by dog in North Cork

The woman was taken to CUH for treatment.

Investigations are underway after a woman was mauled by a dog in North Cork earlier this morning.

The incident happened at 9.30am on the Main Street in Mitchelstown and she was rushed by ambulance to Cork University Hospital where she is being treated for serious but non life threatening injuries.

It's understood the dog involved was a breed of Bull Mastiff.
