Works To Improve Water Quality And Supply To Commence In Belvelly Area On Monday
Works to improve the water quality, reliability of water supply and reduce leakage will commence in the Belvelly area on Monday.
The works have been designed to alleviate water quality issues resulting in the 'Do not Consume' restriction which has been in place since last August for householders and businesses in the area.
Following commissioning and testing of the works, consideration to lifting the restriction will be carried out in consultation with the HSE.
Irish Water, working in partnership with Cork County Council, is replacing 2.6 kilometers of problematic water mains in the Belvelly and Ticknock areas of Great Island.
