Young baby rushed to CUH after his buggy was crushed against a pole
The incident occurred on the Blackrock Road
A young baby had to be rushed to Cork University Hospital to be treated for injuries after his buggy was crushed against a pole on the Blackrock Road.
The Evening Echo reports that the buggy with the baby inside was pinned against a pole by a car at around 4 o'clock on Wednesday afternoon.
The little boy was being pushed by his mother when a car mounted the footpath and crashed into a parked car, pushing it into the buggy and crushing it against a pole.
The baby was pulled to safety by witnesses who ran to his mother’s aid.
The child suffered a fractured skull and his mother suffered minor injuries.
Gardaí are appealing to witnesses to the accident to contact them at Blackrock on (021) 4536690.
