Young People Want A Law Setting A Minimum Alcohol Price To Be Enacted

The Public Health Alcohol Bill was passed last year

It's being implemented in stages however teenagers from around the country are in Dublin today demanding that the Health Minister "enact the act" in full.

The Minister is to seek Cabinet approval for minimum prices on alcohol before the end of the year.
However, some changes will be introduced next month, including advertising for drinks companies being banned on public transport and at bus stops.

Speaking to RedFM News Dr. Sheila Gilheany of Alcohol Action Ireland says that eventually alcohol commercials promoting a positive lifestyle will be banned.
