Youngest Elected Fianna Fáil Councillor In County To "Hit The Ground Running"

21 year old James O'Connor is a first time candidate for the Midleton Electoral Area. 

21 year old James O'Connor from outside Youghal is a second year business and economics at Trinity College Dublin and first time candidate for the Midleton Electoral Area. 

He was elected to the council on the 6th count this afternoon, extending Fianna Fail's lead over Fine Gael by 3 seats.

Sinn Fein have their first County Councillor with the election of Danielle Twomey in Midleton, while Labour now have two seats after Cathal Rassmussen was elected for Cobh.
