Your Life Expectancy Could Be Determined By Where You Live
A new report shows that people living in the Dun Laoghaire - Rathdown area of Dublin are expected to live seven years longer than those in Limerick City
The National Deprivation Index for Ireland says that people living in more deprived areas are at risk of dying younger.
Researchers also examined deprivation over time in each of the country's electoral divisions and found that Knocknaheeny in Cork city had one of the highest deprivation scores in the country along with two areas of Limerick city and Ballymun in Dublin.
Dr Conor Teljeur, lead author of the report, says life expectancy varies across the country:
