AUDIO: Cork City Manager Calls for Point Deduction Sanctions To Discourage Unruly Behaviour

Cork City Manager John Caulfield has called for consideration of competition point deductions for League of Ireland Clubs found guilty of unruly behaviour from their Supporters.
His comments comes following clashes between supporters of Bohemian FC and Shamrock Rovers during their Premier Division fixture at Dalymount Park last Friday night.
The Football Association of Ireland have confirmed that they have charged both clubs, having reviewed the Referee's and Match Delegate's reports following the game and meeting with Club representatives yesterday.
However their Statement fails to disclose the sanctions placed on the Premier Division sides.
The statement reads;
The Football Association of Ireland Disciplinary Committee has issued sanctions against both Bohemian FC and Shamrock Rovers following the outbreak of violence at Dalymount Park on April 15.
Bohemian FC was charged with five offences under the categories of 'Pitch Invasion', 'Match and Player Safety Obligations' and 'Missiles' - objects thrown by supporters.
Shamrock Rovers was charged with two offences: 'Pitch Invasion' and 'Missiles', relating to conduct of their own supporters.
The FAI Stadia & Security Committee are reviewing Match Operations on the night of the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division game and met with Bohemian FC regarding how the fixture was managed on the night.
Both clubs opted not to appeal the decisions.

Discussing the ugly scenes and subsequent negative PR for the League, John Caulfield stresses that monetary fines will not be enough to eradicate this type of behaviour, adding that the only way in which Clubs across the country will act to ensure this behaviour does not continue, is to consider competition point deductions.
Caulfield has identified the work of FORAS to help improve their attendances, encouraging a family environment at Turners Cross, and says it's important all Clubs are able to identify potential threats to a positive match day experience for all.
