AUDIO: County Board Chairman Confirms Pairc Ui Chaoimh Will Not Host Munster Quarter Final

Cork County Board Chairman Ger Lane has confirmed that the redevelopment of Pairc Ui Chaoimh will not be completed in time for the Munster Championship quarter final clash of Cork and Tipperary.

The Hurlers must concede home advantage to the All Ireland Champions as the reopening date remains July 2017.

The Footballers have drawn Waterford in their Munster quarter final, with the winners facing Tipperary. Kerry are on the other side of the draw (playing Clare/Limerick in the semi finals) so the prospect of a Cork V Kerry Final at Pairc Ui Chaoimh remains a possibility, but Ger Lane has admitted they're will be nothing taken for granted after a disappointing 2016.

The County Board Chairman has also responded to Joe Brolly's comments on RTE last night, in which he questioned the leadership in Cork GAA and the length of Frank Murphy's tenure as Cork Secretary.
