Bid Made for City's Brian Lenihan
To the surprise of no one who's watched him regularly this season, Cork City's Brian Lenihan was the subject of a bid from a cross channel club last night. The highly rated full back, who can also play in midfield, has been one of the stand-out performers in John Caulfield's side and has been watched several times across the season by several different clubs. Arsenal have been massively interested in the former College Corinthians star, with their chief scout Steve Rowley in Turners Cross to watch him on a number of occasions. Aston Villa and Celtic are also thought to be interested. It's also thought another club will lodge a bid this afternoon - with a bidding war set to take place to secure Lenihan's services. A few weeks back we spoke to Lenihan and Caulfield about the interest from cross channel clubs - click PLAY above to hear from the both, starting with Lenihan. (Pic courtesy CorkCityFC.ie)
