Cork City V UCD - John Caulfield Preview
Cork City look to maintain their good run of form, as they welcome UCD to Turner’s Cross tonight. The Rebel Army go into the game with six wins and a draw in their last seven league outings, meaning they sit level on points at the top of the table with Dundalk, just off the summit on goal difference. John Caulfield’s side have won four out of their last five home league matches. UCD sit tenth in the league table, but the Students did claim their first win in eight league games last time out, thanks to a 1-0 victory over Sligo Rovers. When the sides met at the UCD Bowl in April, and it was Cork City who claimed the three points with a 1-0 win. Tonights team will be without Captain John Dunleavy through suspension, but welcome back Dan Murray as he missed out through the same fate last week. Gearóid Morrissey is also back from suspension, but is ruled out with an ankle injury. Darren Murphy is set to miss out on the remainder of the season after suffering a dislocated shoulder, joining Michael Rafter on the long-term injury list. Iarfhlaith Davoren and Gavin Kavanagh are injury doubts that will be assessed closer to kick off, with hamstring and ankle problems respectively.
