Críost Rí Granted Replay
Colaiste Críost Rí and Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne will replay their Corn Uí Mhuirí quarter-final. The Munster post primary confirmed the decision last night following controversy in the original game, after the referee made an error in handing out a black card instead of a red card to a Dingle player in extra time. Statement released last night: The CCC of Comhairle Iar Bhunscoileanna Na Mumhan met on Wednesday January 29 at Aras Mumhan to consider the objection lodged by Colaiste Chriost Rí, Cork on January 24. The objection has arisen from an incident that occurred during their Corn Uí Mhuirí quarter final clash against Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne hosted at the Dr Croke’s club in Killarney on the January 22. Having considered both the objection and counter objection in the case along with reviewing all the evidence, the CCC of Comhairle Iar Bhunscoileanna has ruled that a replay is to take place between both sides. Both schools have been informed of the decision and now have three days to appeal the outcome of the Munster Post Primary Schools CCC hearing. If no appeal is lodged within this timeframe, Comhairle Iar Bhunscoileanna Na Mumhan will confirm fixture details of the replay.
