David Meyler Set For Permanent Hull Switch

Hull City boss Steve Bruce says he's close to signing David Meyler on a permanent basis. The Sunderland midfielder has impressed on loan with the Tigers, scoring three goals and making ten appearances since Novemeber. Bruce will fork out £1.5 million for the former Cork City star with Sunderland accepting that offer - all that's left now is for the 23 year old to agree personal terms. Hull currently sit in the automatic promotion spots in the Championship in second place, 7 points behind leaders Cardiff City. Bruce is also hoping to extend the loan stay of Manchester United winger Robbie Brady, whose loan deal expired after last night's draw with Blackpool.
