John Obi Mikel has contract terminated by Trabzonspor
Former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel has had his contract terminated by Trabzonspor after protesting on social media about matches in Turkey still going ahead despite the coronavirus pandemic.
The Turkish Super League is playing games behind closed doors.
The former Nigeria international said "there is more to life than football " and that he didn't feel comfortable playing football in this situation.
