Cork City face Munster rivals in Premier Division
In the Irish Premier Division tonight,
Cork City welcome Munster rivals, Waterford to Turners Cross in their first home league game of the season. Both sides lost their opening games of the 2019 league campaign last weekend and will both be looking to get their first win of the season.
The Rebel Army have a few injury worries ahead of tonight's clash against their Munster rivals with Gearóid Morrissey, Karl Sheppard, Shane Griffin and Tadhg Ryan all doubts for the game while loan signing Matthew Gillam is ruled out due to injury.
Speaking to the media at a press conference this week, Cork City boss John Caulfield says he is expecting a tough test against the opposition and says that the fans are in for a frantic and very competitive derby game in Turners Cross on Friday night :
"We know from our games from last year that it'll be hectic, it'll be frantic. Certainly, you'll have to be on your game because it will be high energy, but we're planning for that."
Kick off tonight is at 7:45pm.

Meanwhile, Cobh Ramblers are in action this evening.
The Rams kick start their First Division campaign with a trip to Drogheda.
Manager Stephen Henderson has a couple of injury concerns ahead of the trip to face Drogheda United. Brian Murphy and Eoin O' Donovan (Hamstring) miss out.
Nathan West is also absent after he picked up a shoulder injury in pre-season against Limerick.
Shane O' Connor is struggling with a back injury and will undergo a late fitness test prior to kick off.
New signings Ian Turner, Greg Henry, and Charlie Lyons all make the trip and are in line to make their league debut for the Rams.
Kick off in United Park tonight is at 7:45pm.
