Midleton CBS begin Harty Cup defence

Midleton CBS will begin their quest to retain their Dr Harty Cup crown this afternoon.
The east Cork school begin with a Cork derby as they face Hamilton Highschool Bandon in Whitechurch.
It's the first time since 2006 that a Cork school begin the Harty Cup as reigning champions, Midleton defeating fellow Cork school Christian Brothers College in the final back in February - Midleton were also the reigning champions back in 2006.
There's another Cork derby this afternoon as St Francis College Rochestown and Christian Brothers College go head to head in Fermoy, while Gaelcholáiste Mhuire an Mainistir Thuaidgh make the trip to face De La Salle College Waterford at Bushy Park.
All today's games start at 1.30.
