O'Brien angry following Ebosele red card

Ireland under 17 manager Colin O'Brien was furious last night following the sending off of Festy Ebosele in their 1-1 draw with Czech Republic at the RSC.

Andrew Omobamidele levelled for the Boys in Green two minutes from time, before Ebosele received an unfair second yellow card for an innocuous challenge on Czech defender Jan Hellebrand.

The result means the Boys in Green need to beat Belgium on Thursday to reach the knockout stage of the European Championship.

Manager Colin O'Brien was furious with the sending off.

"I've looked at the video. The Czech player has cheated the referee. He's cheated the game.

"I definitely won't be accepting one of our players having to suffer because of that."
