The Newcestown Minor Hurling and Football Teams are the January winners of the Rebel Óg Award. Cork's RedFM, along with the Irish Examiner, are media partners to the awards, which are sponsored by the Rochestown Park Hotel and Cummins Sports. The Newcestown Minor A Hulers defeated Ballyhea in the Minor A Hurling County Final, while the Footballers defeated Doheneys in the West Cork Divisonal Final.
