After Cork's exit from the All Ireland Hurling championship last weekend, the Club championship was back under way thick and fast this week. Seven quarter finalists are now confirmed in the Senior Hurling Championship. Na Piarsaigh, Youghal, Sarsfields, St Finbarr’s and Glen Rovers all booked spots in the last eight, joining Newtownshandrum and Ballymartle, with the meeting of Midleton and Douglas to come next weekend. Our feature games on the Big Red Bench this weekend were Friday nights clash of Na Piarsaigh and Bride Rovers, and Saturdays meeting of Glen Rovers and Bishopstown.
