Tom Kenny Announces Intercounty Retirement

Tom Kenny has announced his retirement from intercounty hurling. The Grenagh man made his debut for Cork ten years ago against Clare in the Munster championship. He started at midfield in the All Ireland wins over Galway and Kilkenny in '04 and '05 and he came on as a second half substitute in this year's final replay defeat to Clare. Brian Murphy is now the only player from that All Ireland winning team left in Jimmy Barry Murphy's panel. Kenny picked up three Munster titles as well and says he's stepping down to allow young players get their chance.
