UFC Champ Jon Jones Tests Positive for Cocaine Metabolites

UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has tested positive for cocaine metabolites in an out of competition drugs test. A drugs test on December fourth showed cocaine metabolites in his system. Jones retained his belt on Saturday night with a unanimous decision victory over Daniel Cormier, and as the results of the in competition drugs test for that event have yet to be revealed, that victory will be upheld. The 27 year old released a statement to say that he would be entering into a drug rehab program, and was backed by UFC president Dana White. Jones said "With the support of my family, I have entered into a drug treatment facility. I want to apologize to my fiancée, my children, as well as my mother, father, and brothers for the mistake that I made. I also want to apologize to the UFC, my coaches, my sponsors and equally important to my fans. I am taking this treatment program very seriously. Therefore, at this time my family and I would appreciate privacy." UFC commentator Joe Rogan meanwhile found out live on air about the Jones story. Check out his reaction to it.
