Gogglebox's Pete McGarry has passed away aged 71
Googlebox star Pete McGarry has died aged 71.
According to Channel 4, McGarry passed away after a short illness with his family by his side.
Pete and his wife Linda originally joined the popular show in 2013 for it's second series with Linda's son George Gilbey. The family took a break from filming for a while and returned to our screens in 2016.
In a statement released by Channel 4 on behalf of the family, it read, "Pete will be dearly missed by the entire Gogglebox family, cast and crew.
"Our thoughts are with Linda, their children and grandchildren.
"Since 2000, Pete and Linda have fostered over 100 children and he is a beloved father, husband and grandfather. The family have asked for privacy at this sad time."
