Intruder removed from Love Island villa
An intruder has been removed from the Love Island villa in a security breach.
As a result of the break in on Tuesday evening, the area the intruder entered had to be thoroughly cleaned before the contestants could use it again because of the show's strict Covid guidelines.
A spokesperson for the show said: "Last night a security breach was identified and an intruder was removed from the villa with immediate effect.
"The safety of both our islanders and our production crew remains our primary concern.
"As part of our stringent Covid safety measures, the villa area that was trespassed has been fully deep cleaned before being made accessible again to the islanders and crew."
The intruder did not make contact with any of the Love Island contestants.
