Ed Sheeran Set To Headline Glastonbury!

Ed Sheeran is reportedly booked in to headline Glastonbury festival in 2017.

Five years ago Ed Sheeran performed on multiple stages at Glastonbury trying to get a foot in the door with the biggest names in the music industry. This year he's gone a step further and has apparently signed to play the Pyramid stage at the iconic music festival next June.

In a report from Dan Wootton on The Sun Ed has agreed to perform the headline slot on the Sunday night of the festival with Radiohead and Foo Fighters topping the bill on Friday and Saturday night respectively.

A source has said that Glastonbury farm owner Michael Eavis and his daughter Emily were eager to get the Thinking Out Loud star to perform at the festival.

“Michael is delighted to get Ed signed up.

“It’s going to be a huge moment for the festival having him up there marking his comeback in front of a giant crowd.

“Ed’s always said headlining Glastonbury has been a big ambition of his.

“Topping his three sold-out Wembley Stadium shows last year will be tough, but this is as big as it gets.”

The news comes off the back of Ed breaking his year hiatus on social media by posting a cryptic blue square with no message.

According to reports, Sheeran has an album ready to go in early 2017, so watch this space!
