Glastonbury Line Up Announced

The line up for this year's Glastonbury festival has been announced.

Topping the bill this year are The Killers and The Cure. This will be The Cure's fourth time headlining the famous pyramid stage, which means they tie with Coldplay as most frequent headliners of Glastonbury. 2019 will be the first time they headline the weekend since 1995. Meanwhile The Killers will be headlining for the second time, their previous main stage appearance happened in 2007.

Kylie Minogue will take on the usual "legend slot" on the Sunday afternoon of the festival. Kylie was previously booked to headline the festival in 2005 before a breast cancer diagnosis forced her to pull out. R&B legends Lauryn Hill and Janet Jackson will also be performing over the weekend.

Over 60 acts have so far been announced for the festival on Worthy Farm which kicks off on June 26th. 

Ireland is well represented on the line up with the likes of Two Door Cinema Club, Hozier and Snow Patrol among the acts announced today.

Other acts included on the list are George Ezra, Billie Eilish, Liam Gallagher, The Chemical Brothers, Bastille, Years & Years and Miley Cyrus.

Festival organiser Emily Eavis confirmed that The Prodigy had also been booked to perform before the tragic death of frontman Keith Flint last week.

More artists and bands are set to be announced closer to the time of the festival.

Tickets for the weekend sold out in half an hour last October, however tickets that have been since returned will go on sale again on Sunday 28th April.
