Here's The Latest News On A Slane Gig

Rumours had been circulating that AC/DC could be taking to the stage in Slane this summer.
There will be no Slane concert this year!
Lord Henry Mountcharles who owns the castle and grounds has confirmed that there will be no concert on the Meath site this summer. The reasons for this are cited as practical difficulties as construction work is underway on a distillery on the grounds.
Mountcharles said, “There also wasn’t an act this year that really grabbed my attention. When work on the distillery is complete next year, it will make it much simpler, so we have decided to focus on 2017.” So there you have it! At least we already have something to look forward to in 2017!
Former acts to grace the stage at the castle have been U2, Bob Dylan, Queen, Bruce Springsteen, Oasis and most recently Foo Fighters who performed at the open air amphitheatre in 2015.
