The Wicklow native has been acknowledged for his songwriting talents in the 'Best song musically and lyrically' category.
Hozier's Nina Cried Power is up against tough competition in the category with Arctic Monkey's Four Out Of Five and Ben Howard's Nica Libres At Dusk also in contention for the prize.
George Ezra's Shotgun faces competition from Breathe by Jax Jones and These Days from Rudimental feat. Macklemore, Jess Glynne and Dan Caplen in the 'PRS for Music most performed work' category.
Other song nominated for awards include The 1975's Love It If We Made It and Jorja Smith's Blue Lights in the 'Best Contemporary Song' category.
Best Original Film Score category includes music from American Animals, Phantom Thread and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
