Irish Country Music Star Big Tom Dies
Irish Country Music star Big Tom McBride has sadly passed away.
The 81 year old was most known as the frontman of Big Tom and the Mainliners who were still touring until recently.
The Monaghan man began his musical career in 1966 and delighted fans across the country and beyond for decades.
His family released a statement announcing his death today saying: "It's with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear father Big Tom McBride (RIP) this morning.
"Dad passed away peacefully in the company of his family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
May he rest in peace."
