Irish Gogglebox Casting Underway
There is some specific criteria if you're thinking of being on the show!
If you haven't heard of it, Gogglebox is a popular Channel 4 show where ordinary families watch TV shows and movies and give their thoughts about what they're watching. It may not sound entertaining on paper but some of the comments are hilarious!
There is now an Irish version of the show being developed for TV3 and casting has started. We will get an insight into the homes of a chosen few families in Ireland as they catch some of TV's biggest moments.
According to The Independent, The Herald has received information about what producers are looking for and that some families have already been approached to appear on the show.
However they are still looking for more potential stars of the show including passionate GAA fans as a source claims the show wants “GAA lovers from across the nation to voice their opinions on what’s on the telly.”
They added, “In Ireland, they’re going to focus on regional families, so there will probably be a family from Dublin, maybe one from a rural, farming background and then a sports-mad GAA family.
“They’re keen to get a good cross-section of families so that viewers will find it more relatable.
“They particularly want big characters who aren’t afraid to speak their mind – and who love watching television.”
