Irish hopefuls left disappointed at this year's Golden Globes

Brendan Gleeson, Wolfwalkers, and Normal People were among nominees at this year's Golden Globes.
Brendan Gleeson was nominated as Best Supporting Actor in the television category for his role as US President Donald Trump. However, the award went to John Boyega for his performance in Small Axe.
Kilkenny's Cartoon Saloon production Wolfwalkers had been nominated for Best Animation film which went to Pixar's Soul.
Normal People which was made by the Dublin company and the star Daisy Edgar-Jones were shortlisted in the Limited Series category but lost the award to The Queen's Gambit and its star Anya Taylor-Joy.
