Janet Jackson Gives Birth To First Child

Janet Jackson has given birth to her first child at the age of 50.

Jackson has kicked off 2017 with a new addition to her family.

The singer confirmed in October that she was pregnant following much speculation after she cancelled the remainder of her Unbreakable World tour in March until this year to focus on starting a family with her husband of four years saying on Twitter, "We're in the second leg of the tour and there actually has been a sudden change. I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family, so I'm going to have to delay the tour."

Janet and her billionaire husband Wissam Al Mana welcomed a son and Jackson is said to be doing well following the birth.

"Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana are thrilled to welcome their new son Eissa Al Mana into the world," reads a statement issued by the singer's representative to People.com.

"Janet had a stress-free healthy delivery and is resting comfortably."
