Jennifer Lawrence To Take A Break From Acting

Jennifer Lawrence has announced she is to take a break from acting.
The Hunger Games star is currently on a promotional run for her latest upcoming move, Red Sparrow which is expected to his Irish cinemas on March 1st and sees her reuniting with director Francis Lawrence who she previously worked with on Catching Fire and Mockingjay. Red Sparrow is a mystery thriller depicting the story of a Russian ballerina turned spy.
Speaking with ET's Carly Steel, Jennifer revealed her plan to take a step back from the big screen for a while and her aspirations to pursue a more political path.
She said: "I'm going to take the next year off. I'm going to be working with with organisation as a part of Represent.Us trying to get young people engaged politically on a local level."
"It doesn't have anything to do with partisan (politics). It's just anti-corruption and stuff trying to pass state by state laws that can help prevent corruption, fix our democracy."
