Live At The Marquee - A Chancer's Guide To The Coronas

The Coronas play Live At The Marquee Friday June 19th and Saturday June 20th.

The Coronas are a four-piece band consisting of lead singer Danny O'Reilly, Dave McPhilips, Conor Egan and Graham Knox from Dublin. They're signed to their own independent label 3ú Records.

The band first caught the public's eye with their single San Diego Song in 2007. Their debut album Heroes or Ghosts was released in the same year with singles such as Grace Don't Wait and Heroes or Ghosts being popular follow-ups.

Their next album, Tony Was An Ex-Con peaked at number 3 in 2009 in the Irish charts with Listen Dear being a popular track off that album. The bands second album won them Best Irish Album at the Meteor Awards in 2010.

Closer To You was the band's third album, released in 2011, again peaking at number 3 in the chart with the single Addicted To Progress reaching number 7 in the charts.

Their latest album The Long Way was released in November 2014 with the single All The Others reaching number 3 in the Irish charts, the bands highest charting single.

Support at Live At The Marquee comes from HamsandwicH and Róisín O on the Friday 19th June and Hudson Taylor and Little Hours on Saturday 20th June.

Róisín O is lead singer Danny O'Reilly's younger sister. Music is in the family's roots as their mother is singer Mary Black.

This will be The Coronas fourth appearance at the Cork venue.

The Coronas played a special intimate breakfast show for a limited number of fans on The KC Show on Cork's RedFM to promote their new album in November 2014.
